How to use a GPU with MATLAB

Your CIMS Red Hat 9 Linux Machine might have come with a GPU installed. Having a GPU on your machine enables you to make much more powerful calculations and the like, however deliberately using your GPU is not an automatic process.

Our MATLAB GPU usage guide offers a brief tutorial on how to make MATLAB utilize your GPU device for GPU-accelerated calculations.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 Resources -- Frequently Asked Questions

As of June 2024, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL9) is the primary operating system used on desktop systems at Courant. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 is also predominantly used on the majority of the Courant Institute's computational resources. If you are curious which Red Hat Enterprise Linux release is currently installed on a Courant machine, then you can simply run "cat /etc/*release" from a terminal.

The RHEL9 FAQ page and its content provide information regarding a variety of issues that our users may have with RHEL9.
