How to use a GPU with MATLAB
Your CIMS Red Hat 9 Linux Machine might have come with a GPU installed. Having a GPU on your machine enables you to make much more powerful calculations and the like, however deliberately using your GPU is not an automatic process.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 Resources -- Frequently Asked Questions
As of June 2024, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL9) is the primary operating system used on desktop systems at Courant. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 is also predominantly used on the majority of the Courant Institute's computational resources. If you are curious which Red Hat Enterprise Linux release is currently installed on a Courant machine, then you can simply run "cat /etc/*release" from a terminal.

Linux Reboots and Updates (January 2023)
Linux compute nodes and desktop machines will be rebooted on Thursday, January 19th for software and security updates. These updates will be applied to machines between 7:00 pm and midnight. In an effort to try and minimize any corrupted files or lost work, please save all your data and log out of any Linux systems before 7:00 pm.
