Spring 2024! I am visiting Paris and Ecole Normale Supérieure.

I am a 3rd year PhD student at the Center for Data Science, New York University. I am interested in understanding how and why Deep Learning works. I am fortunate to be advised by Julia Kempe. In Fall 2023, I was in Cambridge, MA, visiting the ML Foundations group at Harvard University. In Winter 2024, I was visiting Nati Srebro's group at Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago. Prior to coming to NYC, I obtained my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. My diploma thesis was about sparse representations in nonlinear spaces and I was fortunate to be advised by Petros Maragos.

Research interests: Machine Learning, Science of Deep Learning, Tropical Mathematics, ML for Science.
