I am a 5th year PhD student at the Center for Data Science, New York University. I am interested in understanding how and why deep learning works. I am fortunate to be advised by Julia Kempe. I am currently visiting Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris (Fall 2025). During the course of my PhD, I have spent time at Harvard University, Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago, Ecole Normale Superieure and FAIR (Meta, NYC). Prior to all that, I obtained my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where I was fortunate to be advised by Petros Maragos.

 


Research interests: Foundations of Machine Learning, Robust Machine Learning, Applications of Machine Learning in Physical Sciences
