NSF Career Awards have been awarded to Professors Anna Choromanska (Electrical Electrical and Computer Engineering-Tandon) and Professor Benjamin Peherstorfer (Computer Science, Courant). Professor Choromanska’s work is on universal properties of Deep Learning systems that hold across a variety of models and data sets; Professor Peherstorfer’s work is on Formulations, Theory, and Algorithms for Nonlinear Model Reduction in Transport-Dominated Systems (March 2021)
