Computer vision: History, Challenges and Recent Results

The talk is a brief historical overview of computer vision , a discussion about some of its successes as well as scientific challenges that must be addressed for continued progress. There will be a  presentation of  some recent results obtained by the group in unsupervised object discovery in image collections; video prediction with self-supervised autoregressive models; and learning-based image restoration.
