Education

Ph.D., Computer Science, Technical University of Munich, Germany, 2013.
M.S., Computer Science, Technical University of Munich, Germany, 2010.
B.S., Computer Science, Technical University of Munich, Germany, 2008.

Research Interests

My research interests are broadly in computational mathematics, machine learning, computational statistics, numerical analysis and scientific computing. I am particularly interested in model and dimensionality reduction, high-dimensional statistics, recovering dynamical-systems models from data and Monte Carlo and Bayesian methods. Most of my work is driven by applications in physics, chemistry and engineering.
