Dan Stein elected Fellow of the American Association for Advancement of Science

Dan Stein has been elected Fellow of the AAAS for his leadership in the theoretical condensed matter physics.  According to the AAAS, "Stein's scholarship has contributed to topics as diverse as protein biophysics, biological evolution, amorphous semiconductors and superfluids, liquid crystals, neutron stars, and the interface between particle physics and cosmology." He and other new Fellows will be recognized at the Association's annual meeting in Chicago on February 14, 2009.
