The XXXIst Courant Lectures - Part II

Beyond Mean Field Theory and d-regular graphs

Time and Location:

April 01, 2016 at 11AM; Warren Weaver Hall, Room 102

Speaker:

Professor Horng-Tzer Yau, Professor of Mathematics at Harvard University

Abstract:

The goal of this lecture is to introduce new ideas to extend the methods described in Lecture I to d-regular graphs and random band matrices, which is not a mean-field model. We will show that quantum unique ergodicity provides a key role in proving random matrix statistics for non-mean field models.
