Prof. Brendan Dolan-Gavitt's paper examining the security of GitHub Copilot's generated code received a Distinguished Paper Award at the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy.

FauxPilot, an open source server for providing code completions compatible with Copilot, was released and got 8k stars on GitHub. The work was covered in this media article.

Prof. Gavitt along with Prof. Siddharth Garg have been running user studies of language models for code generation. The paper will appear at USENIX  Security, and some of the work was covered in this media article.
