“Derivation of wave kinetic equations for three wave and four wave models”
Wave kinetic equations (WKE) describe the statistical behavior of turbulence in wave equations. In this presentation, I will introduce the basic techniques of deriving WKEs. Then the difficulty of applying these methods to physical systems will be discussed. I will mention three difficulties, the loss of derivative problem, the degeneracy problem of three wave models and the phase problem of four wave models. I will explain my solutions of these three problems using the KZ equation and the Klein-Gordon equation as examples.
