Courant Alumnus Bruce Bukiet, (Phd Math '86), Professor of Mathematics at NJIT, who has applied mathematical modeling techniques to elucidate the dynamics of run scoring in baseball, has computed the probability of the Yankees winning the World Series at 70 percent.  The full article is here.
