Jinyoung Park Awarded the 2025 Levi L. Conant Prize
Jinyoung Park, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, has received the 2025 Levi L. Conant Prize from the American Mathematical Society. The prize rewards the best expository paper published in either Notices of the AMS or Bulletin of the AMS in the preceding five years. Professor Park is recognized for her article “Threshold Phenomena for Random Discrete Structures,” which was published in Notices of the American Mathematical Society 70 in 2023.
"I am deeply honored to receive the 2025 Levi L. Conant Prize," said Professor Park, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the AMS for promoting the importance of high-quality expository writing, and being part of this mission is truly an honor. As a first-generation immigrant who has struggled with English for many years, this prize also holds special meaning for me."
Winners are invited to present a public lecture at Worcester Polytechnic Institute as part of the Levi L. Conant Lecture Series, established in 2006. Professor Park's 2025 prize will be presented during the 2025 Joint Mathematics Meetings in Seattle. You can read more on the AMS website here.
