Speaker:

Prof. Lev Ginzburg, Stony Brook

Abstract:

“How stability selection leads to ecological laws”

Nonadaptive stability selection has no connection to local environment. Being not adaptive makes it a good candidate for becoming  a cause of  Ecological Laws that are rules working uniformly across environments. I will discuss a subset of examples from our book written with John Damuth on this subject.
