This working group is organized by Fedor Bogomolov, Yuri Tschinkel and Akshay Venkatesh. The group runs a Number theory seminar (jointly with Columbia and CUNY) and an informal research seminar. The members of the group study problems in classification theory of algebraic varieties, geometry related to groups and representation theory, geometry over nonclosed fields, rational points, automorphic forms and analytic number theory.
