Abstract. 
I suggest the possibility  to set up a theory of 
statistical ensembles, and their equivalence, extending to 
stationary non-equilibria the ideas behind the canonical 
and microcanonical ensembles. The general proposal is illustrated 
by preliminary results on simulations af the Navier-Stokes equations.
