Hopf Bifurcation in a non-homogeneous FitzHugh-Nagumo
Reaction-Diffusion system; rigorous proof for the stable regime
Benjamin Ambrosio
Abstract:
This talk deals with the analysis of a spatial non-homogeneous
Reaction-Diffusion (RD) system of the FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) type.
After a background on the ODE version of the system, we emphasize the
mechanisms through which the FHN RD system may generate and propagate
oscillatory signals. Then we will provide a mathematical frame for
the analysis in Banach Space and establish the proof of the stability
of the stationary state for a given parameter regime
