Research Interests

I am interested in probability theory and its applications to problems from statistical physics, combinatorics, computer science and statistics. So far I have done research on

  1. sparse random graphs, studying the spectral properties of random regular graphs and Erdős–Rényi graphs.
  2. interacting particle systems, e.g. discrete log gas, nonintersecting random walks and tilings, proving the universality of their asymptotic behaviors.
  3. statistical learning, investigating optimization and generalization properties.
A common phenomenon of these problems is the underlying mean field random matrix behavior, which is crucial for the analysis.
