Enikő Székely
Swiss Data Science Center, EPFL/ETH

I am a senior data scientist at the Swiss Data Science Center, a joint collaboration between EPFL and ETH in Switzerland. Previously, I was a postdoc at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences where I worked with Dimitris Giannakis and Andrew J. Majda on data analysis techniques for dynamical systems. I obtained my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Geneva, Switzerland.

My research focuses on data mining and machine learning and their applications. I am particularly interested in the analysis of high-dimensional data and nonlinear phenomena: dimension reduction, kernel methods, information geometry, clustering, outlier detection, time series analysis and predictability. Currently I am working on data-driven approaches for dynamical systems, with application to atmosphere ocean science/climate science.
