Visual Turing Test: Generating new concepts (from type)

The display below shows 10 "example characters" from a foreign alphabet (like Chinese, Bengali, Sanskrit, etc.). We asked people to design new characters that appear to belong to the same alphabet as the example characters. We also gave this same task to a computer program that simulates how people design new characters.

Can you tell which grid of images was drawn by 4 different people and which grid was drawn by a computer program?

People drew their characters with the following constraints:

You will see a sequence of N displays just like this one below. For each display, the foreign alphabet (and corresponding example characters) will change. The computer program's grid of images is randomly chosen to appear either on the left or the right. You will always be asked to indicate which grid the computer drew, using your keyboard's arrow keys. Please answer as accurately as you can.
