This afternoon, between around 3:30 and 4:30 pm, we experienced an assortment  of service disruptions, most notably with mail, due to communication problems between servers. We suspect the events may have been triggered by a problem with the network device through which the primary CIMS servers connect to NYU-Net  and to each other, and have asked NYU-ITS to investigate. Systems and services were stabilized within an hour or so.
