About Courant Library
Location of the Library
The Library of the Courant Institute of Math Sciences is on the 12th Floor of Warren Weaver Hall, 251 Mercer Street (corner of West 4th Street). The nearest subway is West 4th St stop on A, C, E, B, D, Q, F, and 8th St stop on N and R.
Collections and Services
The collection is focused on research level material in mathematics, computer science and related fields, including fluid mechanics, image processing, and robotics. The collection contains over 60,000 volumes and receives 220 current journal subscriptions.
Library Hours
The Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (CIMS) Library stacks and study spaces are closed until further notice. The circulation and reserve desk is open. Services and assistance are available via remote help by email: courantlibrary@nyu.edu.
Current Circulation Desk Hours: 10:00 am to 6 pm Monday -- Friday
We are closed for all university wide holidays but the above schedule does not otherwise alter for intersession or Spring Breaks.
Access
The library is available to NYU and consortium faculty and graduate students, and advanced undergraduate majors in mathematics and computer science.
For individuals not affiliated with NYU, METRO card referrals are honored.
