Graduate Employee Adjunct
Graduate Employee Adjuncts are paid as Semi-Monthly Employees. Due to the structure of payments, Graduate Employee Adjuncts are paid after the working period (if all the information is submitted to Courant Payroll in a timely manner). Payment is issued on the 1st and the 15th of the month. If the 1st or the 15th of the month falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the payment should fall on the first business day before the weekend or the public holiday.
For example, the Graduate Employee Adjunct has worked from June 1st to June 15th. Provided June 15th is not on a weekend, payment should be expected on June 15th. An exception to this rule is New Year's Day. Payment on this day will fall on January 2nd.
Graduate Employee Adjuncts should receive 9-payments in the Fall, and 9-payments in the Spring (dependent on if they are appointed for the Fall or the Spring, or both). If you are appointed for the Summer, Summer months can vary from three payments up to 6-payments depending on how many summer sessions you are appointed for (one summer session versus both summer sessions).
Graduate Employee Adjuncts are directly hired by the respective department.
