Title:     Statistical models of photographic images
with application to Bayes denoising
Speaker:     Eero Simoncelli, Center for Neural
Science and CIMS, NYU

     Abstract:

I'll review the history of statistical image modeling, from classical
spectral models to the multi-scale wavelet models that have become
popular in recent years.  I'll use noise removal as an example
application to demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of each model.
