A model of heat conduction
In this talk, I will describe a very simple model for heat conduction, in
which particles interact deterministically with a chain of scatterers. The
chain is attached to a heat and particle bath at the ends
(grand-canonical). Deriving a Boltzmann-like equation for the infinite
length model (non-rigorous), I then show how one can prove existence of
the solution of the Boltzmann equation (in some kind of grad-limit).
