The p-Laplacian is a very simple and widely studied PDE.  Yet many of the most basic questions remain open.  We introduce a two-player, zero-sum stochastic game called "tug of war" and use this game to solve a few of these questions --- and to reinterpret some of the others as questions about game theory.
