Starting from a mass $\delta_0$ on a graph, we investigate the minimum number of steps needed to transport a constant mass $p$ outside of the ball of radius $n$. The steps of our \emph{controlled diffusion}" process are as follows: at each time, we select any site with positive mass and topple its mass equally to its neighbors.
